Here’s how I managed to setup the bass redirection on the Audigy card with the latest Vista drivers.<\/p>\n
Prerequesites:
\nVista x86.
\nCreative Audigy card.
\nDriver v. 2.12.0002 installed.
\nAnalog 5.1 sound speaker system correctly plugged in (verify that in the Vista sound control panel you can hear the sub-woofer).<\/p>\n
Steps:
\n1. Start the driver executable SBAXVSD_PCDRV_LB_2_12_0002.exe
\n2. The driver extracts and the first screen appears – don’t press Next.
\n3. Go to your c:\\windows\\temp directory.
\n4. There you should have CRF000 sub-directory.\u00a0 This is where the driver was extracted.
\n5. Copy CRF000 somewhere (e.g. c:\\temp\\CRF000).\u00a0 Now you can exit the driver setup.
\n6. Go to C:\\Temp\\CRF000\\Drivers\\wdm\\common\\i386, launch ctpanel.exe.
\n7. Click on Speaker Settings and then on the Bass-M button.\u00a0 It should take you to the BASS Management dialog.
\n8. In the Bass Redirection settings group click on the On\/Off check box.\u00a0 Now you should have the redirection enabled.\u00a0 Adjust the slider to setup a bass redirection frequency.
\n9. Click Close, OK.\u00a0 Done!<\/p>\n
